Seriously! Apple just relaunched almost their entire lineup in early June. Pro users get excited and some even trade in their previous generation computers to own the “latest” models. So, what does this mean for the average consumer that just loves the convenience of a computer that works with their their lifestyle (and their iPhone)?
One word: CLOSEOUTS. Basically, Apple retailers end up with select overstock models that are NEW, still in the box, and carry the full Apple warranty (and qualify for the revamped AppleCare+). This translates to saving money. Sometimes it’s $100.00 savings on an iPad Pro, but we’ve seen discounts from $200.00-$400.00 on MacBook Pro models and iMacs. You may be asking if you would regret not getting a 2017 model. Simply put, probably not at all. Most of the performance difference is negligible…often imperceptible for the average user. Cosmetically, the MacBook Pro lineup looks identical, the iMacs look the same, and the only major revamp was the smaller size iPad Pro.
At Computer Advantage, we recommend taking the savings and applying it to your AppleCare+ purchase. The changes for AppleCare+ include accidental damage for MacBooks Pros, MacBooks, MacBook Airs, iMacs, as well as the iPad lineup. This is a big deal! One thing to keep in mind; supplies are limited. Once these deal are gone, they’re gone. Take advantage of the savings this summer.
